Artist's Comments

Here is a shot I took, also in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, ND, of a flock of about 100 Bohemian and Cedar Waxwings, mostly Bohemian. I realize it's hard to tell them apart in the picture; they were easier to see if you were actually there. This shot isn't all 100, because there was more to these trees than my camera could catch, but it's a good shot of them at any rate.

The name made me giggle because it made me think of RENT, and I kept grilling my mom over and over why they were called that, and she obviously didn't know... ^^; XD We were looking at them through the binoculars (I was driving, but we were stopped) for about 10 minutes, looking at all their super pretty colors on their wings and everything. :)

I'm going to dedicate this picture to :icongeraldwinslow:, my favorite artist of all time, especially for his love for photography, birds, and all things wild. :) ^^

Enjoy.
