I'm going to be a college sophomore this fall, vocal performance major, possibly with a future minor or second degree in office administration to become a legal secretary or court typist, as a back-up job, in case New York City or anything else doesn't work out.

My friends in my department are like my family. Without them, a major part of my life would not exist. Family and friends are the most important things in my life. Usually more important than health or money to me.

I'm a huge Renthead, clearly, and have seen the movie countless times and seen it live onstage, after eating dinner beforehand at the Life Cafe (May 30, 2008- best night ever!!) My favorite Rent song is One Song Glory, followed by What You Own, La Vie Boheme, Out Tonight, and Today 4 U (in that order.)

I'm also a huge fan of Wicked and have also seen it live onstage in New York City (May 31, 2008!!). That was also amazing. Top five favorite songs (in order) are Popular, For Good, Defying Gravity, I'm Not That Girl, and As Long As You're Mine. Other favorite musicals are Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Mamma Mia!, and Les Miserables. Some musicals I hate include Avenue Q! and CATS. So sue me...

My favorite animals are horses, dogs, elephants, giraffes, and brown-headed spider monkeys (they rock!!!)

The King of Pop is dead.

  • Reading: Harry Potter 6 in preparation for the movie.
  • Watching: TV, usually Burn Notice or House or something
So the King of Pop has died.
Of course, it's sad when anyone dies, because dying sucks, regardless.
Especially in such harsh, sudden ways as cardiac arrest.
My sympathies are with his family and friends and biggest fans, as they deal with this loss and this hard time.
Mostly, I've only known MJ through the tabloids, because I haven't ever had access to his music.
People will criticize me for saying this, but I don't honestly care, it's a fact.
When Heath Ledger died, I didn't care much, either, because I've never been a fan of his movies, but my opinion about him ended there and then.
I have probably heard bits of MJ's music over my lifetime, but not hardly at all.
The only side of MJ I know is the tabloids side, which I think for the most part was disturbing.
But if any of it really was true and he was guilty of anything (the molestation trials, for instance), then he will be judged by God and there's nothing more we can say or do about that.
End of story.
And having the skin condition he did sucks, although he did not need to destroy his body and himself in ways that he did with whatever plastic surgery he did have.
I'm trying to access his music in some way, ITunes or something, but not having any luck yet.
I haven't really tried, though.
I have been reading up on his life online and it is apparent we have lost a truly great musician.
For now, I guess that's all.

Sorry to say, but you're not a RENThead, not a true one anyways. If you were you wouldn't shun people who have different opinions than you do, and you wouldn't block people just because their opinions differ.

Oh, shut up. I don't give a crap what Jana has told you or thinks. I said my opinion and she got pissed and trashed me for it. I don't care. I automatically defend myself, of course. My opinion is MY opinion, nobody else's business. I don't listen to his music and I certainly don't give a flying crap about the media mogul side of him. It's sad when anyone dies, but I am just already so sick of hearing about it, the world does has one less creeper, even you have to admit that. Because you don't sleep with little boys, even cancer victims, and you definitely don't dangle your infant son over a balcony for all to see, this isn't The Lion King. And you don't destroy yourself and your body to become white just because your daddy called you names. You get counseling or figure out some other way to deal with your rotten parent. End of story. Goodbye.

1) You need to check your facts and stop believing trashy tabloids
2) Jana doesnt bash people for their opinions, though it may seem like it. she simply argues them..
3) 'My opinion is my opinion, nobody elses business' then you should probably just refrain from ever posting/voicing your opinion ever again and find a new major sweetie..the music business is full of opinionated dickheads who will argue you and trash you

3. Oh, I should refrain from posting my opinions? So does Jana need to, too? I'll post my opinions about whatever, wherever I want. I conversationally discuss my opinions and such to some people and it's fine. It's just people who blow up in my face and get all pissed, just because they disagree, that I choose to deal or not deal with. And you should not trash being a music major until you are one.
5. Because I'm skipping number 4, because I actually do agree with you, everyone is sick of hearing about both sides of it. It's a very black-and-white issue. There is no middle ground. 8. He DID have surgery to become white, his daddy fricken messed him up by calling him a fat nosed little N, that's why he changed himself, because he was so messed up from his stupid daddy. So yes, I firmly believe he had at least a very messed up father who never should have reproduced and put his child through that. He was completely exploited, never loved. Only MJ himself and his doctors, who naturally will never release such information, will know if he had a skin disease or not. Regardless, at the end, he looked scary. Even you can't deny that. I do not agree at all with women who get liposuction, implants, etc. I am an o-naturale gal.
9. I think it's everyone's personal opinion whether they are a RENThead or not. I don't care if you think I'm not, I know I am and that's that.
